A tree for Pakistan – a legacy for the world.
At Expo 2025 Osaka, the Forest of Civilizations stands as a unique artistic installation — 133 subfossil oak trees, each more than 6,500 years old, excavated from deep within the earth and dedicated to the nations of the Expo. These ancient trunks symbolically represent the nations of the Expo, standing as timeless witnesses to human heritage and the evolution of life on Earth. 🌍
One of these ancient oaks now bears the name of Pakistan, carrying a message from the Pakistan Pavilion to the world. Visitors can listen to this message in three languages by scanning the QR code on the plaque beside the tree.
