Tokyo, 18th March 2025 – The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan hosted a press briefing and digital launch ceremony of the Pakistan Pavilion for World Expo 2025 on Tuesday, 18th March 2025 at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo, Japan. The Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, Mr. Raza Bashir inaugurated the Pavilion’s official website and social media platforms, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s participation in the World Expo under the theme “Universe in a Grain of Salt”. The digital platforms will serve as an interactive portal for global audiences to explore the depth and diversity of Pakistan’s culture, innovations, and trade opportunities.
In his remarks, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, Mr. Raza Bashir stated, “the theme “Universe in a Grain of Salt” beautifully depicts our vision of exploring the infinite possibilities within our cultural and economic landscape. Our participation at Expo 2025 Osaka reflects our commitment to collaboration and mutual understanding, illustrating how even the simplest resources can build bridges between nations. These digital platforms will play a pivotal role in promoting Pakistan’s image and connecting the world in innovative ways. We are particularly excited to strengthen our ties with Japan, a nation that shares our values of innovation, sustainability and cultural exchange.”
Pakistan’s participation in the World Expo 2025 is led by Honourable Federal Minster for Commerce, Mr. Jam Kamal Khan. In his message, honourable minister emphasized “The Pakistan Pavilion is more than just a physical space; it is a reflection of our nation’s resilience, creativity and aspirations. Expo 2025 Osaka provides a unique opportunity for Pakistan to share its narrative with the world, particularly with Japan, a country with which we share a long-standing relationship built on mutual respect and cooperation. Through this Pavilion, we aim to showcase how Pakistan’s rich heritage and innovative spirit can contribute to a sustainable and interconnected future. I invite everyone, especially our friends in Japan, to join us on this journey and witness the incredible story of Pakistan unfold at Expo 2025 Osaka.”

Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan will take place from 13th April to 13th October 2025, under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”. The event will bring together over 160 countries, international organisations and millions of visitors to address global challenges and celebrate human ingenuity.
The Pakistan Pavilion, located in the “Saving Lives” zone, will serve as a hub of cultural exchange, innovation and collaboration.
