PAKISTAN PAVILION SHINES AT OPENING OF WORLD EXPO 2025 OSAKA, JAPAN

April 13, 2025, Osaka: The World Expo 2025 officially opened its doors to the public today in Osaka, Japan, marking the beginning of a six-month global event running from April 13 to October 13, 2025. With a record-breaking 158 countries and regions participating, including Pakistan, the Expo is set on the man-made island of Yumeshima under the overarching theme: “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The event is expected to attract over 28 million visitors from around the world.

Pakistan makes a bold and meaningful impression with its Pavilion, themed “Universe in a Grain of Salt.” Drawing inspiration from the iconic Pink Rock Salt, celebrated globally for its natural beauty, wellness properties, and deep historical roots, the Pavilion offers a multi-sensory journey into Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and natural wonders.

From the moment the Expo opened its gates, the Pakistan Pavilion attracted eager visitors, quickly becoming one of the standout experiences on site. Unlike conventional displays, the Pavilion invites guests to interact: they run their hands across breathtaking pink salt formations, feel the organic textures, and reconnect with nature in a profound and grounding way, a rarity in today’s digital age.

Aligned with the Expo’s theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” the pavilion reimagines progress through the lens of harmony with the earth. Guests also step into a Healing Garden, a serene space that soothes the senses and nurtures inner peace.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), a Federal Government organization under the Ministry of Commerce, has been entrusted with representing Pakistan at Expo 2025 Osaka. Building on the resounding success of its Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai – which attracted over one million visitors – Pakistan is poised to captivate global audiences once again with a dynamic and inspiring showcase of its culture and opportunities.
