H.E. Mr. Shuichi Akamatsu, the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, along with his spouse visited the Pakistan Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka today. The Ambassador expressed deep appreciation for the Pavilion’s creative concept, immersive atmosphere, and meaningful cultural representation.
During his visit, the Ambassador took particular interest in the historical mural, which narrates the story of the Salt Range, from its formation 800 million years ago to the ancient civilizations of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro, the legend of Alexander the Great’s horses discovering salt, and the Mughal era. He praised the mural’s depth and its ability to connect geological and cultural history in a compelling way.

The Ambassador also spent time in the Healing Garden, a quiet, meditative space designed for reflection. He thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful setting, taking a moment to sit, inhale deeply, and appreciate the sense of calm it offered.
The Ambassador and his spouse also visited the Display Area, where they admired a wide array of traditional handicrafts, blue pottery, and cultural artifacts. He also appreciated the breathtaking film on the Khewra Salt Range, noting how the visuals added emotional richness to the Pavilion’s central theme.

Reflecting on his visit, Ambassador Akamatsu said:

“I am deeply impressed by the thoughtful presentation of Pakistan’s culture and natural treasures. The Pavilion beautifully reflects the Expo’s theme of ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives,’ by promoting harmony with nature, sustainability, and cultural understanding. It is a remarkable effort that will resonate with visitors from around the world.”
Mr. Muhammad Naseer, Project Director of the Pakistan Pavilion, thanked the Ambassador and his spouse for their visit and kind words. “It was an honor to welcome His Excellency and Madam and we deeply appreciate their time and generous appreciation,” he said.
